      <image:title>Biography - My Quick Story</image:title>
<image:caption>My name is Anaïs Jandot (they/them). I was born in Lyon, France. I am a 28-year old non-binary scholar in arts and humanities. I moved to the US in July 2019 and met my husband Colin a few months later. I am the proud owner of two cats and three greyhounds who make my home the happiest place on earth. My Studies I studied at the University of Jean Moulin Lyon III for 5 years and had the pleasure to work with Dr. Lawrence Gasquet on my master’s thesis. At the time, I specialized in Victorian Gothic literature and Aestheticism. Today, I live and study in Athens, Georgia. I am a 5th-year PhD student at UGA in the department of Romance Languages. I am currently working on my dissertation with Dr. Emily Sahakian. My research focuses on the role of stand-up comedians in subverting white hegemony and colorblindness in metropolitan France.</image:caption>
